About LibSafe

What is LibSafe?

The LibSafe service is modelled on the bank safe deposit box system.

Instead of depositing small but valuable physical items, with LibSafe you can safely deposit valuable information, such as PIN numbers, passwords, insurance details, credit card/bank account numbers and Internet access codes, secure in the knowledge that no-one but you can ever see them.

How do I use it?

Your Personal LibSafe is organized into a series of shelves.

When you sign in to your LibSafe you pick a shelf to read or update. Unlike a physical safe you can add as many shelves to your LibSafe as you like. Each shelf can have an unlimited number of items, which you can read, edit and delete.

What if I don't always have an internet connection?

If you want to take your LibSafe contents somewhere where you will have no internet connection you can download a package of your encrypted LibSafe pages, which can be viewed without an internet connection.

How does it work?

When you enter information into LibSafe it is encrypted using your password in your browser, before being sent to our server (located in a former nuclear bunker) using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. Without your password we or anyone else cannot read your information. All the information you send us about your LibSafe is encrypted for your privacy, even the names of your items and shelves.
